To get to heaven, we must be perfect. But all have sinned and missed the mark! Until we come to realize that we are sinners, we won't find a need for a savior!
God sent his Son to work out for us a perfect righteousness. Jesus Christ lived a perfect, sinless life; God poured out His justice on Him, instead of us, so that we may spend eternity with Him in heaven!!
