You can take a man out of prison in a minute, but it can take a whole long time to take the prison out of him!
God brought the people of Israel into the wilderness for forty years in order to bring them closer to Him. We often lose sight of where we came from. We forget how enslaved we were to sin! And when we face a particular trial, we find ourselves wondering, "why me"?
God uses our trials to strengthen our trust and reliance on Him!
