God is spirit. The only God we're going to see when we get to heaven is going to have nail scars!
God sent His son, Jesus Christ, down to earth in human flesh. He did so without ever leaving the throne. God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit are three in person, one in essence. God's throne has never been empty!
