Transforming Lives by Restoring Homes

At Grace, transformation does not stop with individuals. It reaches into neighborhoods, streets, and the homes where life happens every day. Through intentional community development, we take properties that were once abandoned, condemned, or forgotten and restore them into safe, beautiful, and welcoming homes for our residents.

This work began in 2003 with the purchase of a single aftercare home. At the time, it was a small but meaningful step, providing a stable place for individuals continuing their recovery journey. Over the years, that vision grew. Little Grace Village was formed, expanding home by home, block by block, into a network of more than 60 restored properties.

These houses are more than structures. They are spaces of healing, accountability, and growth. Residents find stability, routine, and dignity within these homes, while surrounding neighborhoods benefit from renewed properties and increased care. As homes are restored, communities are strengthened, and hope becomes visible again.

From Broken to Restored

Every home tells a story. Slide to see how forgotten houses become foundations for stability, dignity, and new beginnings.

From Homelessness to Homeownership

Little Grace Village is not just about providing housing. It is about creating opportunity and long-term change.

Through Grace Centers of Hope’s Homelessness to Homeownership program, residents are given a clear and attainable path forward. Individuals move from homelessness to stable aftercare housing, then from stability to independence, and ultimately to homeownership. This process allows residents to invest in their future and take pride in the homes and neighborhoods they are helping restore.

To date, 26 aftercare homes have been sold to former residents, transforming what was once temporary housing into permanent ownership. These milestones represent more than numbers. They represent families put down roots, stability achieved, and futures rewritten.

At Grace, homelessness-to-homeownership is not a concept or a goal. It is a lived reality. Lives are restored, homes are reclaimed, and entire communities are transformed, one address at a time.
